University’s India Day

On Wednesday, 13th March, Southampton University is hosting an India Day to launch its new India Centre for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development. The vision for the centre is to become a globally recognised think-tank for innovation, knowledge transfer and capacity building.

The daytime programme is aimed more at the staff and students of the university to celebrate the relationships and transformative work that has been achieved in partnership with India.

However, in the evening (from 7-10pm) there is a free event at the Turner Sims concert hall, open to the public, entitled “Sounds & Colours of India – a Cultural Confluence of Dance & Music”.  Find out more, and register, at this Eventbrite link.

Throughout the day, there will also be an open exhibition of Indian art in the Hartley Library.  No booking necessary.
