Green Energy

Members of Transition Town Romsey are holding a Green Energy Discovery Day at Romsey’s Crosfield Hall on Sunday, May 1st from 1030-1600. Read on to learn why you should visit this free event and how you will benefit.

Climate change and the cost of energy are two key issues we all need to address. So, for anyone who is interested in reducing their carbon footprint by changing their energy use – but doesn’t know where to start, or needs some advice on how to move forward with their ideas – then this is one event not to miss!

Transition Town Romsey (TTR) is supported by Test Valley Borough Council and Romsey Future in putting on this FREE event, which they hope will help answer local people’s questions about ‘Green Energy’. Members of TTR, representatives from local councils, and invited organisations and companies, will be on hand to help people learn about everything from different types of insulation to air & ground source heat pumps. There will be information on: how to choose an electric car; whether energy systems are appropriate; if grants are available; how and where to obtain and install your chosen system; plus the opportunity to register your interest in forming a Community Energy Group in Romsey. Displays of electric cars; electric bicycles; a bike repair workshop; activities for children; a smoothie bike; and refreshments served throughout the day, means there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
More information and details of who will be at the event, can be found at and , or contact
