Chilworth Hall’s AGM will take place at 6.00pm on Wednesday, 19th June. If you’ve read this post you may think the management committee’s job is largely done. Not so. We would really welcome another two or three members joining our friendly team. Read on to find out why you may enjoy joining us. A lot of time in recent years has been spent on raising funds and arranging the various phases of refurbishment that are now mostly complete. We’re no longer in fundraising mode, as we should now be financially self-sufficient. It would be nice to see the Hall putting on some music or am-dram events, from which we should be able to start raising funds for other local charities.
Organising events can be fun, but it takes time so more hands would make lighter work. This is all voluntary – there’s no pressure other than that which you’re willing to put on yourself. In addition to help with organising events, we would also like to find someone with bookkeeping skills as we’re currently over-dependent on an outside firm for our management accounts. (This is not a big operation – annual revenues are a little over £40K.)
