For the benefit of residents concerned about the recent uptick in local petty crime Cllr Finlay has arranged for the police to visit us to give their current views and advice. The session will be in the Coach House at Chilworth Manor on Monday, 20th March at 7.30pm. Several relevant companies have promised to attend so come along and see how to improve your security.
Many thanks to all those who entered into the spirit of this event, you helped us to raise almost £1500 for the Hall’s refurbishment which is obviously a very welcome boost to the fund. Commiserations to those whose bids were pipped at the post: we hope you’re not too disappointed.
The “latest bids” page has been updated. We’ll allow daytime Sunday for checks and protests, and the final results will be announced at the Moviola on Sunday evening. Several winning bids are from anonymous bidders. Winners will receive confirmations by e-mail, along with a note about arrangements for payment and collection of bids.
Thanks again to all the bidders, and special thanks to those whose generous donations made the whole thing possible.
