Two Reminders

Chilworth Gardening Club
The next meeting of the Gardening Club will be on Thursday, 9th June.  The speaker will be Gerald Ponting on Visiting the New Forest.  Doors open 7.15 for a 7.30pm start, in Chilworth Village Hall.  New members very welcome.

Moviola
The latest Moviola offering, House of Gucci, will be shown at Chilworth Village Hall on the evening of Sunday, 12th June.  For more details, including a trailer and how to get your tickets, go to the Moviola programme page.

Jubilee@Chilworth

Further details will be announced soon, but the Parish Council is keen to get the basics of Chilworth’s official Jubilee event into diaries as soon as possible.

Chilworth’s event will be in the form of a Fete on Saturday 4th June from 2pm to 5pm. There will be dodgems, kiddies rides and a variety of stalls. There will be a jazz band playing throughout the event with Bollywood dancers taking over when the band needs a break. At around 3pm there will be the official opening of the Alison Finlay Memorial Gardens. Continue reading

Jubilee Competition

This one is for children in Test Valley aged four to eleven, who are invited to take part in a competition to design a picture which will be made into an Anniversary Card in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which is being celebrated in June 2022. The card with the winning design will be signed by the Mayor of Test Valley, as first citizen of the borough, and sent to the Queen on behalf of all the residents in Test Valley. Continue reading

After a long hiatus caused by the pandemic, Chilworth Gardening Club is reopening, with a first meeting at Chilworth Hall on Thursday, 10th March. Remembrance Sunday

There will be an Act of Remembrance Service at Chilworth War Memorial (opposite the Chilworth Arms) on Sunday 14th November.  Please assemble there at 10.40 am for a 10.45 start. Names of those who died in the two World Wars will be read out and there will be an opportunity to lay wreaths during the service.
