New Moviola Dates

Temporary domestic help
A young lady from Chilworth is looking for cleaning or light gardening work from now until September, when she goes off to university. She comes highly recommended by one of our parish councillors. To learn more, simply e-mail the Editor who will put you in touch.
Consultation re fly-tipping
Hampshire & IoW Police Commissioner Donna Jones is encouraging responses to the consultation on household DIY waste disposal charges. She endorses the view that removing such charges would tend to reduce the incidence of fly tipping. Whatever your position on the matter, why not go ahead and respond to the DEFRA consultation.

Jubilee@Chilworth
Further details will be announced soon, but the Parish Council is keen to get the basics of Chilworth’s official Jubilee event into diaries as soon as possible.
Chilworth’s event will be in the form of a Fete on Saturday 4th June from 2pm to 5pm. There will be dodgems, kiddies rides and a variety of stalls. There will be a jazz band playing throughout the event with Bollywood dancers taking over when the band needs a break. At around 3pm there will be the official opening of the Alison Finlay Memorial Gardens. Continue reading
Jubilee Competition
This one is for children in Test Valley aged four to eleven, who are invited to take part in a competition to design a picture which will be made into an Anniversary Card in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which is being celebrated in June 2022. The card with the winning design will be signed by the Mayor of Test Valley, as first citizen of the borough, and sent to the Queen on behalf of all the residents in Test Valley. Continue reading
