Local Infrastructure – Consultation

Our county councillor, Cllr Nick Adams-King, has just published his Aug/Sept Newsletter which you can find here. It contains news of a consultation about the infrastructure needed to support cycling and walking across southern Test Valley (in this context ‘Southern Test Valley’ comprises the southern seven parishes of the TVBC area, Romsey Extra, Romsey Town, Baddesley, Ampfield, Valley Park, Chilworth and Nursling & Rownhams). Nearby Events – August

Below is the usual monthly digest of upcoming events in our region. If you know of any others that you think are worth including, please send details to the Editor. Two in particular are worth highlighting. From 1pm-3pm on 25th August at Romsey Town Hall there’s a free “well-being” event for those nervous about getting back to mixing. There’ll be two interesting speakers plus tea and cake to enjoy. Numbers will be limited so please book by calling 01794 512847. Then there are the Park Proms to be held at Broadlands. On Friday, 27th the Royal Philharmonic is joined by special guests including Aled Jones and Laura Wright. and on Saturday, 28th James Morrison stars, supported by Pixie Lott and others. Chilworth Hall activities update

The continuing tentative emergence from COVID-19 restrictions enables more of the regular activities, classes, clubs and groups at Chilworth Hall to start getting back to something more like normality.  The Hall’s committee has just posted a new schedule which is bang up to date, even including a number of sessions that are kicking off in September.  You will always be able to find the latest info on this page, so why not bookmark it?  There’s another link conveniently placed nearby, which brings up the Hall’s bookings calendar.
